Performing Languages

This theme is not about pupils learning languages but about exploring the sounds and the production of sounds in various in order to develop a confidence and flexibility when imitating a native speaker of a language:

• Pupils can repeat the sentences in the languages of their peers or a classroom visitor.
• They can sing songs or rhymes from around the world
• Or sing Silent Night
• Searches on YouTube can yield many different songs in different languages
• Or have a go at tongue twisters in various languages
• More tongue twisters
• Send an e-card in a different language
